The William Shakespeare Medallion
This bronze medallion, installed on the corner of 23rd Street and Avenue of the Americas in New York City, was commissioned by the developer of the mixed-use residential tower, The Caroline. Standing as a testament to the nineteenth century Shakespearian Booth Theatre that stood at the same site, it was installed to comply with the neighborhood’s landmark historic district regulations.
